Business Requirement
The client approached us with the requirement to build an extensive B2C search based application that would provide access to vast resource of government offices’ contact information (telephone number, address, email and fax numbers and county clerk websites) and Court record information in each of 50 states of United States of America.
Solution

As the website aims at providing all the information to end-users free of cost, no payment related integrations were suggested. The revenue model for the application was chosen as Google AdSense for which the required integrations were performed as a part of the project. This would help the application successfully attract advertising opportunities and run on the revenue earned from the ads.

The web application needed would be a search based one, so, an extensive search engine platform was suggested as its core infrastructure for information access and reporting. The most important search engine features proposed were a) Scalability & b) Access to multiple heterogeneous sources of information from a single point of access.

The application would essentially comprise of an exhaustive Content Management System (CMS) where Administrator could perform manual data updates to the application through CSV imports. While the CMS would enable the admin to feed the data into the system through a predefined CSV format, the application would NOT include the functionality to gather data from the various online data sources.

Additionally, there would be API integrations with the parent application of the business so as to have another source of data updates for the data related to the incarcerated personnel.
